Well, this was unexpected. When we first caught a glimpse of the ‘Alien’ over the summer, we had all just automatically assumed that it was the sequel to the highly coveted Yeezy boost 350 V2. It turns out that we were all wrong, as it has now been revealed that it’s actually the Yeezy boost 380!
An all-new adidas model from Kanye West, this marks his latest silhouette since the Yeezy 500. Infused with Yeezy boost 350 DNA, the ‘Alien’ takes the sock-like design to an entirely new level. Boasting a full Primeknit construction, the upper is painted in a light cream and grey palette and features a unique glitch camo-like motif that kind of resembles the ‘Turtle Dove’ from 2015.
Like the most recent releases, the lateral side is made up of see-through mesh so you can flex your sock game with ease. It also acts as the lacing system, resulting in an ultra sleek and streamlined aesthetic.

Moving downwards, the main difference between this one and the sample that we saw back in August is the addition of a subtle yet striking pattern on the midsole. This surrounds the entire unit for a look that’s out of this world. Housed within is a chunky slab of Boost, providing wearers with comfort and cushioning that’s truly industry-leading.
Now, for the all-important release date. originally rumoured to be releasing at the end of the year, the Yeezy boost 380 ‘Alien’ is now officially dropping next MONTH on November 16th, just before the hotly anticipated ‘Black’ restock! It’ll be priced at around £200 and will be available in extremely limited quantities. What do you think of this brand new silhouette? will you be copping? let us know what’s on your mind, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole supplier for more news as it develops!
