In September of 2021, we were surprised to discover of NIGO’s visit as creative director of KENZO. You would believe with all the Louis Vuitton collabs as well as HUMAN MADE work, the 51-year-old Japanese designer would have sufficient on his plate, however instead, he has just made his collectional debut for KENZO with these latest FW22 offerings.
The show was held at Galerie Vivienne in Paris, the place in which Kenzo Takada did his very first show back in 1970. To the soundtrack of his upcoming I understand NIGO album, NIGO designer showcased an extensive variety of both menswear as well as womenswear looks.

As is custom with much of NIGO’s previous work, this latest collection seemingly blends traditional Japanese heritage looks with Americana styling. The styles take motivation from formal, sportswear as well as streetwear perspectives, all coming together to type a unique repertoire of ready-to-wear styles.
