luxury reselling platform TheRealReal today revealed its annual luxury Consignment Report, which showcases the current state of the ever-changing industry. The 2022 report analysed data from between January and November last year, showcasing some insightful findings. Out of all the brands, Nike, Rolex, Bottega Veneta, Chrome Hearts and Hermès showcased the most significant resale value gains. Nike in particular took the lead here with a 32% increase in sales YoY.
Likely due to the ongoing dunk hype and various Off-White and sacai collaborations over the past year, possibly this statistic comes as unsurprising to some. It’s also worth noting that new Balance’s general resale value rose by 61% last year, and this trend is likely to continue into 2022 with plenty of new collaborations and successful GRs like the 550 on the way soon.
